I was inspired by their two local programs: Early Literacy and Nutrition, and Career Navigation and Alumni. The logo depicts a mother and her child, to represent early literacy in the first program a book was added to the child and to represent the second program a graduation cap was added to the mother. AVANCE’s logos have a border inspired by Mexican culture of papel picado. I designed a new shape different from the rest of their logos and added the small details around it to represent the cutouts.
